Regenerative architecture, or a plausible vision of the future of architecture, draws inspiration from the laws of nature to make the most of what already exists, and manages to appropriate it.
The proposal is understood as a picnic blanket — an element that temporarily transforms a place, making it habitable and establishing a use. As a reversible, reproducible activity with a low ecological footprint, it allows the surroundings to be lived and seen in a different way.
The platform will have planters in which native vegetation from our landscapes will be planted. All of them edible plants which, for unknown reasons (low productivity, lack of recognition, etc.), have been forgotten and have come to be considered wild plants, verge plants or even “weeds”.
The intervention will serve to inform and to once again give value to these species excluded from our food system and from monoculture agriculture. Social recognition, changes in consumption and the inclusion of greater species diversity in agriculture are drivers of change in our ecosystems, sources of biodiversity, and have a key impact on the environment.
The materials used will primarily be reused, with a low ecological footprint, demountable and remountable for future interventions and, ultimately, transformable into other products.
